Same same, but different
Who am I and who are you? What distinguishes us from each other and makes us different? And does being different inherently mean being better or worse?
A dancer and an actress face off in a battle of sorts. As they engage in a playful competition to out-perform one another, they attempt to overcome the boundaries of social roles and expectations and open up new realms of possibility for themselves and the audience. Seated onstage, the audience becomes an active part of this joint exercise in differentiation.
A coproduction with Theater Bonn.
In addition to showings at Theater Marabu, performances of “Genauso, nur anders” (“Same same, but different”) can be arranged in schools, children’s facilities and family centres (for a maximum of three classes, approx. 80 children).
